NAC Summons Koffi Promoters

The National Arts Council has summoned promoters of Congolese Rhumba musician Koffi Olomide recent trip to Zambia following reports that he assaulted a local photo-journalist.

Council Director Victor Makashi says the summoning of the promoters who are scheduled to appear before the council on Monday is aimed at getting the side of the promoters on what transpired.

Makashi says he is saddened by the alleged beating of Jean Ndayisenga commonly referred to as Mandela and says artists should not misbehave during their performances.

Koffi, a giant rhumba artiste from D.R Congo, slipped police hands after allegedly assaulting the journalist.
