Political Landscape In Zambia Worries EFZ

The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia has observed that the current political landscape in the country is unfavorable.

EFZ Executive Director Pukuta Mwanza told Qfm radio that intra party conflicts currently going on in the country’s major political parties were not inspiring.

Reverend Mwanza has since reiterated his call on political parties to cultivate a culture of tolerance if the country was to develop.

“The ongoing developments in Zambia’s politics are shifting attention from issues of national development which people are interested in. Political leaders should divert their energies on issues that will contribute to the lives of people in the country,” he said.

Opposition UPND president Hakainde Hichilema and his MMD counterpart Nevers Mumba have been arrested on several occasions on charges ranging from unlawful assembly to defamation of the president.
