Former Works and Supply Minister Mike Mulongoti says the integrity of government has been torn apart by cabinet ministers.
Mulongoti says the arrogance being exhibited by some cabinet ministers on issues that affect the lives of Zambians is worrying.
He says such conduct has eroded people’s confidence in the decisions being made by cabinet.
Mulongoti says there is need for decency in governance and that ministers should not engage in conduct that is likely to question their capacity to perform.
The former cabinet minister has also observed that government has not been coherent on various policy issues.
He says it is unfortunate that government is characterized by contradicting statements from cabinet ministers on police issues.
Mulongoti says a successful government will always speak with one voice and has since advised government to speak with one voice if they are to achieve meaningful development.
