The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) has urged government to respect the Republican constitution in all its dealings.
FODEP Executive Director MacDonald Chipenzi says Zambia should not operate like a country whose constitution has been suspended.
He says if the country is to flourish democratically, there is need for the rule of law to be respected.
Chipenzi has observed that recent developments with regards to the fight against corruption and the application of the law have clearly showed gross disregard of the constitution by government.
Chipenzi has further advised government to ensure that the fight against corruption is yielding positive results.
He says so far the corruption crusade undertaken by the PF government has not produced tangible results.
Chipenzi also states that FODEP will only support activities that are targeted at reducing high levels of corruption both the public and private sector and the enhancement of democracy.
