Mourners Gather at Funeral of Former VP George Kunda

Scores of people this morning turned up to view the remains of former republican vice president George Kunda at Mulungushi international conference centre were his body is laying in state.

This follows government decision to allow allowing Zambians the opportunity to pay their last respects to the former vice president who died on Monday at the University Teaching Hospital at the age of 56.

The body of the late vice president arrived at11:00 hours for viewing.

The people mostly clad in Black and national colours viewed the remains of the former vice president amid tight security provided by military police.

President Sata has declared three days of national mourning in honour of the late Muchinga member of parliament.
