President Michael Sata this morning led senior government officials, some diplomats, members of the opposition and PF officials in paying their last respects to the late former vice president George Kunda at the Mulungushi International Conference Center.
President Sata who was in the company of First lady Dr. Christine Kaseba, Vice president Guy Scott, Chief Justice Ernest Sakala went on to console Kunda’s widow Irene at the venue where the body has been laying in state.
The President then held a meeting with Kunda’s family which was closed to the media.
Zambia is observing three days of national mourning in honour of the late Muchinga Member of Parliament who will be put to rest tomorrow at the Leopards memorial park.
