Coach Herve Renard named the Netherlands-based star in a 24 man team for the first time since October but personal commitments have again ruled the player out.
Mulenga, a prolific striker who plays for FC Utrecht has had an inconsistent relationship with Chipolopolo, and miss the Africa Cup of Nations triumph due to injury.
According to the FAZ website, the association’s spokesperson Erick Mwanza announced that Mulenga will not travel to Asia next week.
“A family emergency which will not enable him travel and be in a good mind-frame to play. As a result, we have decided to excuse him from this match,” said Mwanza.
Renard has been informed of Mulenga’s absence and is reported to be scaling down on the team options.
Apart from missing Mulenga, Renard will be without four key components of his Africa Cup of Nations winning team.
The formidable central defence partnership of Hichani Himoonde and Stophilla Sunzu is not travelling to Korea while the midfield duo of Nathan Sinkala and Rainford Kalaba are also staying away due to club commitment.
