Student Arrested for Cocaine in Lusaka

The Drug Enforcement Commission has arrested a 24 year-old man of Lusaka for trafficking in cocaine.

Musenge William N’gambi, 24, a student at one of the highest learning institutions in Zambia has been arrested for trafficking in 20 rocks of cocaine concealed in a roll-on container. Musenge, who early last year was arrested for possession of cocaine, was apprehended at a named lodge in Rhodespark.

And in a separate incidence, the Commission in Lusaka has arrested three suspects for trafficking in over 200kg of loose cannabis.

The three arrested include Yorse Chilekwa, 30, Mutale Ngosa, 22, and Austin Mumba, 20, all of Zingalume Compound in Lusaka for trafficking in 252kg of cannabis concealed in three polythene sacks.

Meanwhile the Commission in North Western Province has arrested Philip Mundumba, 29, of Kamapanda area in Kabompo for trafficking in 8.7kg of cannabis concealed in a polythene sack and Kenneth Musang’u, 44, a watchman of katamba area in Mwinilunga for trafficking in 5.6kg of cannabis concealed under his bed.

And in the last four days, the Commission has arrested more than fifteen (15) people countrywide for trafficking in various quantities of cannabis.

All the suspects are in custody and will appear in court soon.
