Police has arrested an ex-convict for a spate of criminal activities on the Copperbelt.
The suspect had once snatched a K400,000 from a Chinese shop and staged other aggravated robbery crimes in the province. He is among three ex-convicts who were released by President Sata recently.
The suspect, Jacob Mumba and two other Zambians are working with a Congolese national to terrorize residents on the Copperbelt.
The three suspects initially went to Nakonde before heading to Chavuma district where they acquired dangerous weapons to use when staging robberies.
The criminals were released after serving an average 15 years on several charges. Police has since appealed to members of the public to report the trio when spotted anywhere.
