Pastor Dies after Delivering Sermon at Lusaka Church

PpulpitA preacher in the New Apostolic Church has died during a church service in Chunga compound after he finished preaching a Sunday message.

The preacher identified as Malunga had just finished delivering a Sunday message to congregants and went to sit on a chair reserved for him as the church was winding up the programme in readiness to retire home.

A few minutes after Malunga sat down, he started convulsing and then fell off the chair and lay on the ground as the congregants looked on.

The attempts to save the life of Malunga by senior church members proved unsuccessful as his situation rapidly deteriorated and suddenly lost his life in the assembly of church members.

The church members expressed shock at the turn of events for a man that had just finished preaching to them a few minutes ago.

“It was a shock for us and we are deeply sad,” one of the congregants said. “He was called to preach on the pulpit and after he finished he even said Amen. That is when he went to sit down and within a few minutes he started convulsing and fell down. That is how he died.”
