Chipolopolo coach Herve Renard has drafted a 162 member team in yet another phase towards picking teams to represent Zambia during the African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers and the COSAFA Senior challenge that the country will host in July this year.
According to a list obtained by bolazambia.com, the usual suspects on the local front have made the squad among them Red Arrows stars Bruce Musakanya, Shadreck Malambo, Danny Munyau who have flirted with the senior national team in the recent past.
Joining them are Lubambo Musonda, Mukuka Mulenga, Thomas Nyirenda and Roderick Kabwe among the already known faces.
COPA Coca-Cola Cup revelation Godffrey Ngwenya has resurfaced in the national spotlight after being once called up for the friendly match against Zimbabwe in 2012.
The team will have further trials in Lusaka from April 23 to 26 from which the bunch will be further trimmed. Renard recently conducted nationawide trials in an attempt to widen the national team pool.
Zambia will host the Cosafa senior challenge from July 6-21 and also have a CHAN engagement on June 22 away to Botswana.
