Zambia Crash Out in Kumasi

chipolopoZambia’s Brazil 2014 World Cup dream has come to a crashing end in Kumasi after Chipolopolo went down 2-1 to Ghana’s Black Stars.

The Ghanaians proceed to the play-off where five of the continent’s representative will be identified from a pack of 10.

Ghana scored the first goal through Abdul Majid in the 17th minute with Kwando Asamoah unleashing a thunderbolt in the 61 minute to give the hosts a comfortable lead.

Zambia pulled one back with Nathan Sinkala’s strike from the edge of the box off a deft Rainford Kalaba pass that was connected by Stophilla Sunzu.

It was a goal created and converted by three TP Mazembe players.

Micheal Essien featured for Ghana coming on as substitute after an over two year absence.
