The President, who is spontenous in his public appearances and produces some made-for-stage theatrics, is expected to address rallies with his first call set for Muchinka grounds in Mansa. Mansa residents may just enjoy a portion of the drama from their Head of State.
President Sata will is also expected to call on traditional leaders on his last call to drum up support for PD candidate Dr Chilufya Chitalu.
The Mansa Central seat fell vacant following the death of Kennedy Sakeni who was also information minister.
Meanwhile, ahead of his visit to Mansa President Sata has consented to the Mansa Municipal Council’s request to extend the township boundary to 11,000 hectares from about 5,000 hectares to accommodate more investors and create jobs.
The announcement has coincided with the Head of State’s visit to Mansa and will see 5,000 hectares for Mansa Township doubled.
