Flashback: Fathers of Democracy & Security Detail

A few days ago, MMD co-founder, Akashambatwa Mbikusita-Lewanika, commonly known as AKA, shared a photo on his Facebook page from the archives. In the photo, AKA is seen speaking at a campaign rally. Standing next to him is the late Baldwin Nkumbula while Frederick Chiluba and Mufaya Mumbuna (both long gone, I guess) are seated listening. This was in Mongu, Western province in 1990 as the wind of change that would dislodge Kenneth Kaunda from power and usher in Chiluba continued to blow countrywide.

There’s something particularly interesting about this picture that has drawn my undivided attention and I’d encourage others to equally do the same as well. Now contrast this with the security detail seen crowding and not surrounding the leadership of two of our foremost political parties, the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) and opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) especially during the previous elections. What do we make of this?

We see muscle men – nay, menacing images of hulking individuals with barrel-chests and well developed muscles in berets, hiding behind dark glasses! According to Wikipedia, a muscle man can best be described as a henchman employed by a gangster to intimidate or use violence upon victims. Why should our political leaders allow these goons near them? Isn’t for a purpose of reigning terror and violence?

In 1990s as our country braced herself for the new beginning in our political dispensation, many of us were still in school. However, we chose to be part of this revolution by sneaking out of school to attend political rallies and listen to this new crop of leaders poised to bring about total liberation and economic prosperity! Although there was always the risk of being lifted “by air” by a few uncouth and misguided UNIP vigilantes, it cannot be compared to the scale of violence the country is witnessing today.

During the run up to elections, it has now become common practice to hear or read spine-chilling stories of cadres hacking limbs, gorging out eyes, setting houses ablaze and in certain instances killing opponents. Where’s all this violence……..Satanic behavior emanating from? Why should politics be a matter of life and death today?

Although politics is generally said to be a dirty game; in our country unfortunately, we’ve taken a step further and made it a violent activity! Politics is supposed to be a battle of wits……….contestation of ideas and not the other way round! Our modern day politicians have continued to SIN before God by fraternizing with individuals who are better off in the gym growing their muscles or in the ring belting it out with their peers. Without mincing our words, these are the individuals blemishing the image of what should otherwise be a noble profession.

Golden days are long gone, when we were casting votes on a frog against KK and super Kenn emerging winner following morning, now what’s the difference between Zambia yesterday and Zambia today? Is the answer being based on colour or mind set of the Zambian people? If so then why. …..????????.

The Brutality, Violence, Human Rights violations and SATANIC Behavior in Zambia is emanating from the Zambian intelligence also infamously known as the Office of the President (OP).
At the core of current Political Turmoil and Human Rights Abuses is Zambia, is the OP.

The OP has an Hidden Agenda the ultimate goal of which is to indirectly and then directly seize power in Zambia, just like has happened and still happening in Romania, Turkey, Egypt, Syria, and other countries where their intelligence exert undue influence on their governments.
The OP has undue influence on the Zambian government and political leadership.
The OP has a track record of influencing all election results in Zambia; It is the self appointed ELECTORAL COLLEGE in Zambia where Popular Vote doesn’t count at all; OP is the de facto Appointing Authority in Zambia – on behalf of the Electorate, the OP chooses who should be president and who should occupy strategic ministries; In keeping with its hidden agenda only those who wouldn’t be a threat to its ultimate goal of seizing power, are appointed; Consequently, the Presidency in Zambia is Compromised and the Electorate is deprived of its Choices and Voices.
Anyone in Zambia, including Presidents, who interferes with or is considered a stumbling block to OP’s hidden agenda, becomes an Enemy of the State (OP is a State within a state), tagged as Targeted Individual (TI), and destined for Torture and Permanent Elimination.

OP’s weapons of choice against TIs include: Radiological, Chemical, Biological and Psychological weapons; Planned Air and Road Traffic Accidents; OP Hit Squads and Hired Foreign Assassins; Brutality, Impunity and Gross Human Rights Violations. An Oppressive and Repressive Culture is reigning supreme in Zambia.
Under the sway of the OP, Zambia has become a Land of Terror, Fear, Victimization, Intolerance and Death.
Some TIs have died knowing that they were victims of OP. These include the late Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe who was brutally beaten by a mob and mercilessly tortured to death by OP- for Challenging the One Party Dictatorship of Kaunda ‘s UNIP; late Anderson Mazoka, a Presidential Material, was robbed of the Presidency and before his untimely death, he decried that he had been poisoned by the OP.
Other victims of OP have died without knowing what had hit them. These include: Late Presidents Mwanawasa and Sata. Both died in office. But didn’t die of Natural Causes. They were duped and hoodwinked to their untimely deaths by OP.Forensic Postmortems would confirm foul play.
Surviving Victims of OP are still being tortured and killed in Zambia, by OP.
I’m one of the surviving TIs and a victim of Torture and gross human rights violations being perpetuated by the Zambian intelligence /OP. Due to prolonged exposure to painful, torturous and deadly Radiation, Poisons, Toxic Gasses, and Traumatic Experiences, my health is rapidly deteriorating. I’m dying. I need urgent medical attention to ascertain the irreparable damage done to my body and hopefully salvage whatever has remained of me.
I have irrefutable hard evidence to prove the atrocities and heinous crimes being committed against me and others, by OP.
Cruelty and Barbarism are the real dangers of Unchecked Powers. The OP has been and still is wielding absolute power and can do anything to anyone and get away with it. Since its inception in the1960s , no single OP personnel has ever been brought to book in spite of the Criminal activities and political assassinations attributable to OP.
Zambia’s Dark Human Rights Record has escaped both National and International attention because of the Institutionalized reign of Terror and Fear. People in Zambia are scared of pointing accusing fingers at OP.
Largely due to OP’s Brutality , Human Rights abuses and impunity Zambia has been going through a cycle having Governments that have swiftly turned into Regimes and collapse as Savage Democracies.
Governments serve all people in a country; Regimes serve selected few that are close to the Political Leadership; Savage Democracies save an Individual Leader, family and those who worship the political leadership.
Savage Democracies are more dangerous than Regimes. The backbone of Savage democracies are the Intelligence or the Military or both.
Typical cases of Savage Democracies include: Zimbabwe, Turkey, Syria, China under Mao, North Korea, Romania under Nikolai Ceausescu, etc.
Zambia is aptly a Savage Democracy and the making of OP. The OP is indirectly running the affairs of this country. It will not be long before OP takes over and start running this country, directly. What is remaining is for the OP to have one of its own as Head of State. President Lungu is just being used to take OP to a point where he will be discarded, just like his two late predecessors.
President Lungu is not part to OP’s Hidden Agenda, and atrocities being committed by OP, on his watch. In fact President Lungu is a TI.
However, this has created a Catch 22 situation. If President Lungu doesn’t know about OP’s criminal activities, then who authorizes the atrocities being perpetuated by OP? The activities of OP should reflect the policies and wishes of the Political Leadership and government of the day.
If President Lungu Knows about OP’s Human Rights Violations, why has he allowed it on his watch? Zambia is part to the Geneva Convention against Torture and the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It is sad though that Zambia has not appended its signature on the UN Convention Against Torture.
The Zambia Human Rights Commission has decried that due to lack of enabling Legislation, it is a problem to bring to book perpetrators of Torture in Zambia. A Bill against torture is in Draft form, so says the Human rights commission.
Meanwhile, the OP has taken advantage of the absence of the legislation to help Stop OP’s Cruelty and Barbarism.
