UPND Appoints Mucheleka as Deputy GS

The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has touched up its National Executive Committee elevating former Lubansenshi Member of Parliament Patrick Mucheleka to deputy secretary general.

Mazabuka lawmaker Garry Nkombo has been appointed as chairperson for elections and campaigns.

There has been no hint of a shakeup at the top where Hakainde Hichilema remains unchallenged since his succeeding Anderson Mazoka in 2006.

OK. Looks nice, though most of these are financial handicapped. They seem to he looking for opportunities to either revamp their pockets or get started. Ba Muyale Nalumango seem to have no energy. Retire! Will wait and see since leadership comes from G.O.D All the best

  6. FGM

People have persistently branded UPND as regional party, to the contrary the party has embraced leaders from all angles. Southern, western and north western are simply its strong holds. From the Look of things; central and Lusaka may soon join the bandwagon. People are seeing and will surely switch to a party that will focus on addressing the dehumanizing high poverty levels that Zambians are currently experiencing.
