Ng’oni Warriors Steal Show

The Nc’wala ceremony of the Ng’oni people of Eastern takes centre stage this weekend with Ng’oni warriors already stealing the show.

President Edgar Lungu is expected to grace the ceremony on Saturday.

The feet stomping impis have stolen the show not for their traditional flair but a little more of their revealing outfits that have become a talking point ahead of the ceremony.

Paramount Chief Mpezeni left his Ephendukeni palace in Feni for Laweni in Mtenguleni in status symbol Mercedes Benz.

Our traditions must evolve with the world we all know that what was of value 20years ago , today dont hold the same value , culture that remains staginant cannot inspire any one .
The all world has involved with new skills in the dress of the traditional dress , just look at the Queen of England and her dress and the crown on the head do you think it was so the 300years ago! I am sorry it wasnt.
Our people need to be innovative with new ideas than just remain locked up the in the dirt of 100years ago.
Look at the ngoni people of south africa atleast their dress looks presentable for this age.

THE POLICE SHOULD CHARGE THIS IMPI FOR PRODUCING OBSCENE MATERIAL, CIRCULATION, CORRUPTING MORALS, THIS HUGE APPETITE WE HAVE DEVELOPED AS ZAMBIAN OF ALWAYS WALKING NAKED AND SHOWING THIS TITILLTING BEHAVIOUR IS TREASONOUS IN NATURE. WHY WALKING NAKED? ARE WE SHORT OF OPPORTUNITIES WHERE WE CAN GO AND HIDE OURSELVES RATHER THAN UNDRESSING IN PUBLIC LIKE THIS SURE? WHILE OTHERS ARE BUSY RESEARCHING ON HOW WE CAN DEVELOP AS A COUNTRY THESE IMPIS ARE BUSY SHOWCASING THIR NAKEDNESS TO US WHO ARE NOT INTERESTED. AWE SURE MWELESA ISENI BWANGU BWANGU AND BURN THESE IMPIS BUTTOCKS SO THAT HE CAN LEARN.

Go back to school. What you as an individual don’t value is valued by thousands of people some of who come from as far as Europe, America and Asia. If an event is not passed from one generation to another there is nothing tradional or cultural about it.

  28. Love your neighbor

Moreover I also see the President attending the ceremony because he has to join his fellow tribesmen in celebrating & I see that not to be a problem. He’s from the East & we are not going to change that.
