ZAMBIAN FOOTBALLER, EMMANUEL MBOLA, IN ISRAEL

As I walked out of the Western Wall, I heard two people speaking in our local language and when I turned, I found that it was indeed our own footballer, Emmanuel Mbola, who plays in the Israeli League (Ra’anana). He is a star in Israel and doing very well! God bless our young football ambassador!

We must invest in football academies in all municipalities so that we can give young people an opportunity to develop their talents and become professional footballers in the nations. The case for Emmanuel speaks for itself – when I asked if the other young man was also a footballer in Israel, he said he just invited him, on his account, for a visit! I am really proud of Emmanuel!

I remember how I was treated well in a duty free shop at David Ben Gurion Airport here in Israel in 2010 – when the owner of the store saw my Zambian passport, he exclaimed, “Ah Emmanuel Mayuka!” Apparently, he too was playing for the same team, Ra’anana. I think I was given free wines and in all fairness I have to pay Mayuka royalties for the good treatment I enjoyed on “his account”. God bless Mayuka! #ZamFootballFirst!
