Chief Nyamphande Sues Subject for Insulting Him

Chief Nyamphande of the Nsenga people in Petauke district has dragged his subject to police for insulting him.

Eastern Province police commissioner Luckson Sakala confirmed that police have arrested Zabu Tembo following a report by the chief that he was insulted by the suspect and his colleague who is on the run.

Sakala said Tembo and his friend are alleged to have insulted chief Nyamphande in the early hours on 19 June 2018.

He said Tembo had since been charged with using insulting language and would appear in court.

Sakala said police were now looking for the other suspect.

Insulting the chief means wedging war with all tribesmen that is within and outside his kingdom. Be humble, you lose nothing.

This so called new found freedom in the name of democracy is absurd. Those who resort to insulting authorities like these pseudo politiciuans who hide behind democracy should be made to pay for their terrible behaviour. The chiefs should be given power to punish these mindless subjects.
