Black Mountain Deaths Reach 11

The number of Black Mountain accident victims has reached 11 after another person died at the Kitwe Central Hospital.

The latest victim is John Ponda who was admitted in the Kitwe Teaching Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) died on Friday due to head injuries.

Hospital Public Relations Manager Phoebe Chileya has confirmed the death of Ponda who died around 15:00 on Friday.

On Wednesday, 10 small scale miners commonly known as Jerabos died after being buried alive at the Black Mountain while 7 others among them the deceased sustained injuries.
