Kankoyo MP Aides Buteko Market Fire Victims

Buteko Market fire victims have got another shot in the arm after Kankoyo Member of Parliament Brian Mushimba donated K50, 000 to help ease their burden after losing their property.

Mushimba’s gesture comes a week after his Kantanshi counterpart Anthony Mumba donated K 50,000 to help the traders that lost their merchandise after an inferno swept through Buteko Market in Mufulira District.

Mushimba who is Transport and Communications Minister said he was saddened with the incident that has left people with no hope.

“As district leaders we have come together and we have pledged to help our fathers and mothers who were working in that market,” he said.

“We want to make sure that we extend a helping hand to them as we relocate them to another market as we wait for the rebuilding of the market, you know as we relocate them to a temporal place we need to give them something for a start to order whatever they were ordering.”

Last week, Kantanshi Member of Parliament Anthony Mumba donated K 50, 000 to affected traders to ease their burden.
