UPND Candidate in Kasenengwa Withdraws from the Race

The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has suffered a major setback in the Kasenengwa parliamentary by-election with its candidate Dr Faustina Banda withdrawing his candidature.

Dr Banda has pulled the rug on the UPND on the day of nominations throwing the UPND bid in disarray.

The ruling Patriotic Front is fielding Sensio Banda in the seat that fell vacant following the death of incumbent Victoria Kalima.

Nominations are being held today at Chikungu Primary School.

UPND , OF COURSE WILL LOSE IN KASENENGWA. BUT THEY STILL HAVE SOME FOLLOWERS EVEN IN KASENENGWA. THOSE FOLLOWERS NEED TO BE KEPT ALIVE AND MOTIVATED. THEY NEED TO KEEP THEIR FIRE BURNING. BUT IF YOU DO’NT EVEN FEATURE ON THE BALLOTS, THEN EVEN THE LITTLE SUPPORT YOU HAVE WILL MOVE TO PF. REMEMBER EVERY VOTE COUNTS. AS WE PREPARE FOR 2021 IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE AN IDEA OF HOW THE VOTING PATTERN WILL EMERGE SO THAT YOU DO’NT COME FROM THE BLUES CLAIMING THAT MY VOTES WERE STOLEN.

“ONLY A TONGA MUST LEAD UPND” says Daniel Munkombwe. UPND is now dead and buried, how can its candidate withdraw at the 11th hour? It is an indication that the party is not attractive politically because it is tribal and its leadership is not inspiring at all. Come 2021 it is PF nafuti na nafuti

The best thing the Dr should have done is to inform the leadership that he was not ready. Anyway things happen that way.

This by election is not even necessary. UPND has nothing to lose. Now Zambians you are now proving that Grade 12 cert. is not necessary. UPND will still win 2021 elections. They know the reason why they are buying MPs. In bemba they say imilandu tashibola.

They was some misunderstanding in the UPND. H.H thought that because banda is a DR and he comes from the east then he can win forgetting all the old members in his party. So those old members threatened banda .This is a clear indication that upnd is going nowhere.

Who can’t run awe when the top leadership in the party are busy quarreling. You leave people on the ground who have been long serving members for a Don who has never been to that constituency for the past 100 years. , ,
