The deceased who has been identified as William Mwanza, died on the spot after sustaining injuries while carrying out maintenance works at Sentinel Processing Plant.

Rowe who could however not state the cause of the accident said investigations have been instituted to establish the cause.

“It is a sad day, especially that we have been working hard in improving our safety records as a mining company but it is unfortunate we have lost a life, we have since notified the Mines Safety Department of the incident, family has also been notified, as a Company we will provide every possible support to them during the difficult time,” he stated.
