Kang’ombe Eyes PF C/B Youth Chair Position

Top guns in the Patriotic Front on the Copperbelt are positioning themselves for elections with Kitwe Mayor Christopher Kang’ombe setting his eyes on the youth chairmanship.

With incumbent Nathan Chanda eyeing the provincial chairmanship position, Kang’ombe has been linked with the soon to be vacant youth chairmanship position.

The youthful Kitwe Mayor’s political astuteness has put him in the spotlight as a prospective model youth leader.

Kang’ombe the current Patriotic Front Kitwe District Chairman and also Local Government Association of Zambia (LGAZ) President now has set his eyes on the Chairmanship of the youth wing on the Copperbelt.

The former Copperbelt University Student’s Union President has set himself apart among the mayoral folk in the country with his visible works in Kitwe endearing him to his electorates.

With the PF shaking up its grassroots structures and elections set to take place, candidates are positioning themselves for possible election.

    Levy Mwanawasa once issued a directive that positions such as Provincial Chair be left to people without govt or other elective commitments. I wonder why Chanda, Kangombe who already have so much on their plates as Mayors want to take up more responsibilities. Why not leave such party positions for others who will give 100% of their time?
