It sets a good example for people whose culture is that of insults. Some people don’t have the sense of shame to insult others.I know that in certain parts of Zambia insults are a cultural heritage but it is high time people began to respect other people’s feelings. It is not uncommon to hear insults in buses by young men especially the conductors.Whilst it is also a criminal offence under the penal code of Zambia ,many people in this country have resigned to the fact that it is a common thing especially along the line of rail.

Persecution of citizens is one of the hallmark of dictatorship. What the current government is doing is meant to instil fear in all of us. Let them leave this young man alone. He was simply expressing himself and unfortunately for the president, he used unkind language. The best way to avoid being insulted is to be outstanding in everything you do.

      • Victor Kaluba

King Jesus Christ was perfect, and yet we insulted Him, we preferred the criminal Bananas to Him.
This young man needs a few more years behind bars. He is only 24, if he is not punished, others will follow him. Spare the rod and spoil the child. He did not have to insult the President in order to express his complaints.

  19. central power

An example for the others…..treat him like you did to ADEDO bt dont kill him .respect the elders that was the first thing my dad taught me.

It is even in the Bible we must respect leaders. The President is a father of the nation, those who like insults are those who have no respect to elder such that they can even insult their own fathers. Let him be punished so that others may also lean a lesson.

  33. Robert Samanyika

Too bad,but he was wrong. Wat is wrong is wrong
