RTSA OFFICER DECLARES K10, 000 AFTER MOTORIST ACCIDENTALLY DROPPED THE MONEY
Lusaka, 16th December, 2018 – The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has commended its officers for exhibiting high levels of integrity and transparency on and off duty.
This comes in the wake of a RTSA officer who, while on duty in Kafue district today picked up a Ten thousand Kwacha cash dropped by a motorist during a road the festive season joint tragic law enforcement operation by RTSA and the Zambia Police.
According to the Commander of the operation Mr. Rodgers Nkandu, who is RTSA Deputy Director Transport, when the motorist that dropped the money returned and inquired, he was handed back the money after establishing that he was rightful owner.
Mr. Nkandu stated that after the officer picked the money, he informed the Commander who safeguarded the cash.
He said RTSA officers like always had continued exhibition high levels of integrity, accountability and transparency in accordance with the Agencys core values.
Mr. Nkandu has implored all RTSA and Zambia Police Traffic officers deployed country-wide to continue upholding service excellency and resist all forms of corruption.
