It all costs less only firewood. Each one of us can leave a will. My dad told us not to bury him in a coffin but in a reed mat but no one heard us when we spoke eventually was burried in a casket.

we always think burial should be how we know it and want to keep appearances

CREMATION! Scary, why burn the body when you can burry it nicely. for me whe i die they should embalm my body and keep it for 100 years so that my grand grannies can see this man. cremation ……. not my thing. Any Doc i though he would surrender his body to medical research so that our student can learn more from the Doc. RIP comrade.

@zobreego, that was his wish my bro. By the way, his nephew Sipho Phiri owns Leopards Memorial Park Cemetary so he could have easily gotten a prime grave.

I know Doc you are not able to read this so I will address it to our Beautiful Wife Chilufya. I personally will miss his humility, the huge heart he had for people of all walks of life, he built a lot of people, mentored them and yet never demanded credit. That is humility. Even his choice of his remains is typical Doc. He can never be replaced. Will miss running to him for advise on how to handle challenges. As a family, I pray for your peace and closure that only God gives in this time of pain and sorrow. I will not mourn him, I will celebrate his life.
