AVIC Abandons Kitwe Road Works

Barely three weeks after AVIC International resumed road works in Kitwe, the contractor has abandoned the site citing a lack of funding.

The contractor had mobilized in the first week of this month and completely ripped off President Avenue.

However, despite barricading the working area, no action has been seen on President Avenue with the contractor having demobilised.

A check revealed that the contractor has not been on site for the past two weeks due to delays by government to release advance payments.

Kitwe District Commissioner Binwell Mpundu said he is yet to engage the contractor after learning of their withdrawal from the site.

Mpundu said relevant authorities will be engaged to resume road works that had been suspended in January due to rains.

They are yet to abandon more works, they did not know that they were going to share spoils with little devils, who actually eat more than their stomachs can contain.

ECL is a head of PF buffoons. Rot in hell you enemies of Zambia. You have done so much damage to the economy, treasury and social setup that it will take decades to recover from the same. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, I refuse to forgive you. What poor children are suffering under buffoon’s monkey business, so shall your children shall suffer, so shall you suffer till you die and go to hell.

Not surprising! Kitwe City Council is a careless council. The managers are always busy in the field making their own money at the expense of development. Just see how they have positioned some robots at MUKUBA MALL. So close to the road that one crazy motorist will easily crash into it. This shows that some people work upside down. I am not an engineer by profession but the fact is you cannot position robots so close to where motorists turn. KIKIKIKI!

I AGREE, THERE IS A LOT OF LAWLESSNESS BY SOME COUNCIL ENGINEERS. CHECK THE robots ALSO AT KAUNDA SQUARE NEAR BARCLAY’S BANK. WHOEVER, ADVISED THESE GUYS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. YOU CANT PUT ROBOTS THERE, ITS ALL TRAFFIC JUM

True ….l think its appaling the way our Kitwe city council run things. Personally l knew we would have hiccups on a minor section road work as Preaident Avenue. At times one wonders whether it’s a black thing or the country leaders just continue failing us.

Avick needs money in order to pay workers and to avoid slow working. Let the government pay them , development is cardinal. Where is the loan and toll gate money going? Pf committee yourself in projects and not forgetting the economy. Tranks of money go missing but only to be found to one of your members and what do you say ? Lianto style still in action, pay avick international, work must continue
