Kwacha ‘Bleeds’ Against Dollar, Pound

The kwacha has further depreciated against the US dollar and British pound, now running towards the K14 mark and beyond K17 respectively.

Commercial banks are quoting the US dollar at an average of K13.50 while the British pound is around K17.60, racing towards K18.

Some bureaus are already quoting the US dollar at K14.

Market experts recently said the local currency was likely to continue with its depreciating trend in the short term.

This means possibilities of the kwacha reaching K15 per dollar are not far-fetched, the experts said.

The Ministry of Finance have run out of Ideas.
The kwacha will soon reach K15 and beyond. If they don’t come up with a strong strategy.

You voted for no vision people. I remember an economist Charles Milupi said this that under the leadership vision less leader like the one you majority Zambians are eyeing for the dollar will reach 17 kwacha per US dollar but non got sense out of this because of tribal line in the mind sets. Now you will see. I admit that I have no vision to run the country but you vote for me, what do you mean? Vote for one who understands his economy behaves. Fiscal deficit someone says but deer to listen coz the wants to run the country ni wakwasu.
