NDF Delegates Vote for 30-day Presidential Election Petition Hearing

Delegates at the National Dialogue Forum have voted in favour of a proposal that a Presidential election petition be heard within one month from the current 14 days enshrined in the amended Constitution.

Forum spokesperson Isaac Mwanza said a secret ballot was conducted by the Electoral Commission of Zambia at the ongoing National Dialogue Forum at Mulungushi International Conference Centre which comes to an end tomorrow.

ECZ Returning Officer Zachariah Kunda announced the results where 86 delegates voted in favour of 30 calendar days for hearing a presidential petition while 33 delegates settled for 30 working days.

Those who voted for 14 calendar days were 31 delegates while 29 voted in favour of 14 working days.

      Aba ka red should have been there. I think this article affects them most. I see it happening in 2021. What would you have preferred mwe ka red, 3months?

        It is not the red flag affected. Everyone is affected. Imagine these people receiving huge amounts of money and then making unpopular decision. Everyone irrespective of their political affiliation will be very affected
