The High Commission of Zambia in Nairobi has announced the death of Mr Costain Mwanja, who previously worked for the National Assembly in Zambia until January 2020.
“The High Commission of the Republic of Zambia in Nairobi, Kenya wishes to announce the death of a Zambian national Mr. Costain Mwanja who was found unresponsive in his rented room in Nairobi.
The late Mr. Mwanja was working for the National Assembly in Zambia until he resigned on 10th January, 2020 in order to pursue his education in Engineering. Mr. Mwanja arrived in Kenya in February 2020 to prepare for enrolment,” the High Commission stated.
“Following consultations with the family over the repatriation of the body, permission was granted to the Zambian High Commission to have the human remains buried in Kenya following the post-mortem. The burial took place in Nairobi on 25th June, 2020. The Government of the Republic of Zambia through the High Commission, wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Kenya for the valuable assistance during this period. The Mission extends further gratitude to the Association of Zambians Living in Kenya and all well-wishers for the support rendered in burying the Zambian national.”
